Heather, you ask if we got our Medicare D info yet. I haven't but I have my meeting set up with my Medicare advisor the first week of Nov. She has done a great job of helping us get the best programs for my husband and I.

just remember that at least in Arizona some of the D plans will no longer pay commissions to brokers. So I can't tell you how unbiased your broker/advisor will continue to be.

That is pertaining to the Mean or mPAP. 20 to 25 is borderline. 25 to 30 is mild

Great question! Yes, the threshold for diagnosing pulmonary hypertension (PH) was updated in April 2023 by the American Heart Association.

Here's a quick breakdown of the change:

- Old definition: A mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP) of 25 mm Hg or higher was needed for a PH diagnosis. Readings between 21–24 mm Hg were considered "borderline PH."
- New definition: Anyone with an mPAP greater than 20 mm Hg is now diagnosed with PH — no more "borderline" category. The reason for lowering the threshold was to help identify people earlier in the course of the disease, so treatment can begin sooner.

If you were previously told you had "borderline PH," it's worth checking back in with your doctor. They can retest your mPAP and advise on next steps for treatment and slowing disease progression.
