As of now the way to treat Group 2 is via treating the underlying heart disease. I am on Furosemide, Carvedilol, Jardiance, Eliquis and am on 2L O2 assist at night. The BIG news for our group though is that Winrevair is entering Phase III clinical trials for our group. As of now Winrevair is only available for group 1. But if you are Group 2, which is also called POST-capillary PH, and if you overlap a bit into group 1's PRE-capillary disease, you may qualify to participate in the clinical trial. Ask your PH specialist about it. I am definitely going to try to get included.
Also, please note that we have JUST started a new group on this site for discussions specific to those of us with heart disease. Feel free to click the Groups heading, scroll down and click to join us.
As I learn more info pertaining to our group I will be posting it there.
