PH causes a lot of lightheadedness, pretty much daily for many of us, so you can use your judgment as to when you need to go to the ER. If it's worsening, or seems different in any way from your baseline, at least a call to your physician is appropriate. A couple of situations that warrant particular concern: if you are having any symptoms that seem more like stroke than fainting, or if you actually pass out-especially if you fall-you need to go to the ER (not intended to be the only situations to go to the ER, just a couple of things to keep in mind.)
