I have severe PAH and moderate COPD just diagnosed beginning of this year.I am oxygen dependent started at 2L now up to 4L.The humidity has been high last several days (80-95%) and my breathing is horrible when I get up and move.Has anyone else with this issue tried dehumidifiers in their homes and does it help?
I moved from the northeast to the Sonoran desert upon the recommendation of 3 doctors who were treating me for a different lung disorder 20 years ago. It was difficult for us to leave our family and businesses behind but I could not speak without coughing up blood. Once we got out here, I started to get much better...and now with the PAH, I've had to stop even flying to visit family cause the humidity simply cripples me.
I have issues with humidity as well. Hard to breathe when it is high - percentage - also hard to breathe
I certainly know that as the temperatures and the humidity rise my SOB worsens. I enjoy gardening, but in the warmer months I've learned to get out in the yard early in the morning and hunker down in the AC the rest of the day.
