How much of a difference do you notice when it’s humid outside? Is there a certain humidity percentage where you really start to feel it?

And when the humidity is high, what do you do to make breathing or being outside more manageable?

Just curious to hear everyone’s experiences and what seems to help!

I only use oxygen when exercising and at night, but the humidity makes it tougher for me. We have been having a lot of 90% humidity days and I can only do about 30 min. at the most outside before coming in for a break. I feel better when the humidity is lower in the 70's, can handle 80% if there is a breeze, but still have to take breaks. The humidity has been above 70's all month so I have spent more time inside or where I can go into airconditioning to have a break.

Even with my O2 the humidity still bothers my breathing.

I don't do good in humidity at all. It feels like someone has their hand over my face . Though I don't let it stop me from still stepping out. I just move a bit slower. I am ready for Fall 🍂 and Winter to come. I do so much better.

To answer more of your pointed questions, I find I can usually handle up to maybe 40% humidity with the PH. In Arizona that is not usually a problem. When it is higher I mainly stay inside A/C plus run all the ceiling fans to keep the air moving.

When I was still traveling with my PH, when I visited family on the east coast, I would frequently have to stay in A/C and skip some events.

And here in AZ, people live to eat outdoors and restaurants have misters working to cool off temps. I’m the party pooper who has to eat indoors

I am only on nighttime assist O2 and only at 2L. But humidity destroys me. I moved from NY to AZ to get away from humidity which was making me cough up blood when I would speak. The coughing was incessant.

In NY I had a different lung issue due to damage from a chemo drug. Here in AZ that previous issue is dormant. But I find with the PH I can’t take steamy showers or be near misters, etc cause my SOB will become awful
