Kim: I see you are in Oklahoma City...There is at least one PH Clinic there and I sure hope you are going to it or another one. Any PH Clinic will have a social worker, at least part time. Have them look into getting you a scooter.

Hello @A myPHteam Member Welcome to the family. I can relate with you. Ask your doctor and insurance company. Alot of hospitals have foundations and know of how to assist with medication cost and Durable Medical Equipment. I use a foundation called TotalAssist formerly know
The PAN Foundation. You can't go wrong with asking. You may also want to look into the PHA. Association website.

Walking very far,just to go shopping at Walmart, wow I have to sit, thank God they have the sit and shop basket, if they are not all being used. Dose any one know of help or how can I get a electric scooter, just so I can take my garbage out the apartments. I live in. I have to walk to the garbage or to the laundry Mat, and it just takes all my air. Especially in this summer heat, I didn't know how to ask my doc yet. Or if medicare pays for it. I am on my survivor's benefits. So I do get Medicare.

That might be a systemic issue as our clinic manager said she felt her hands were tied in trying to get things done a lot of the time...and that she really felt more empowered coming over to a larger teaching hospital system. And our hospital system isn't really that big...It just serves Scottsdale and Phoenix.
