Does anyone else experience extreme sinus/nasal congestion with Tadalafil and Ambrisentan? If so, what helped relieve this side effect?

Be careful to not use anything with chemical decongestant content….and run anything you are thinking of using past your PH specialist. I got clearance to use the Arm & Hammer NIGHTTIME Simply Saline with Eucalyptus. It was the only thing that worked for me.

When I was initially prescribed ambrisentan in April 2025, I had horrible sinus problems. Nasal Congestion and a full head. The post nasal drainage caused throat inflammation, as
well. Luckily it only lasted a few a weeks. I used some type of cvs brand for people with high blood pressure and used sugar free honey and menthol....?
Sugar free Ricola. Sugar free. Honey and something. Yellow and white packaging if I remember correctly.

Here are some things that have helped myPHteam members and are worth discussing with your doctor:

- Saline nasal sprays or gels — Members have had good results with products like Ayr nasal spray or gel to ease dryness and congestion
- Nasal corticosteroids — These are considered a first-line option for reducing nasal inflammation
- Antihistamines — Another option that may help relieve congestion symptoms
- Ask about medication adjustments — Your doctor may be able to tweak your treatment plan if the side effects are significantly affecting your quality of life

One important caution: avoid overusing nasal decongestant sprays, as they can actually damage the inside of your nasal passages and make symptoms worse over time.
