I say some Scriptures to myself..for distraction, and calming..for that and for life. Well, I take a sleeping pill. The pounding is starting to last so long the sleeping pill doesn't work, coz it peaks in a half hr. I think I had no sleep last night. I lie back down with an audio book. I know if I went to sleep coz I miss a big chunk of the book. I didn't miss any of the book last night. I am going to contact the office, coz I don't see my cardiologist till Sept.

You are strong and resilient and will get through this
Angie, I'm glad you aren't waiting until September to see your cardiologist. I see mine this month. Until you get an appointment, I wonder if sleeping on an incline or a recliner like others do, would help. When I can't sleep, I get in my recliner and turn on the tv. Old western shows are currently my thing. Often I wake up several hours later. Your audio books must do the same thing.
AngieGriffyDeisher Have you given much thought about seeing and audiologist? I remember reading that some people experience the sound of their own heart or pulse when laying down, and it is really nothing but an increase in hearing your pulse through your head/jaw bones. I thought it sounded pretty odd when I read about it, but Perhaps this is what is going on for you? Late at night, the house is quiet, and what in a busy active house with the tv on and you don't hear or pay any attention with so much going on. House gets quiet, and THERE IT IS without any sound competition, and so distracting! I wonder if you have a louder hand wound alarm clock and it may not be so distracting? I know after my dad passed, I got his alarm clock he used when he was working. Pretty much dominated the night hours in my parent's home with it's ticking sound when I was growing up. I guess dad wanted to hear it was working wherever he was in the house. But it was also comforting, in that crazy way some kids find certain regular noise soothing. But then, some go to sleep with the radio on too.
Are you a back sleeper. I move on my back for a little bit each night I think that is what gives me light sleep is on my back, my oxygen level drops on my back but goes back up on my side, I start on my right side. I can't sleep on my left side, it causes my old vertigo feeling, so since I found the left was still causing my vertigo I just never slept on my left. I would love to sleep on my left but....I hate vertigo, had to manage it for over 5 years, it was called migrain vertigo. Had vertigo in both ears but cleared up the right one the left one was on the same side as my 100% blocked carotid artery that no one picked up on until I was diagnosed with ILD and SVT's. I really hope you get some answers quickly so you can get some really good sleep, please Lord be with Angie and give her some rest and answers, thank you Lord!!❤️🙏
Hi Angi. I also sleep on about a 45-degree angle, which helps my breathing and reflux. I do not have palpitations. God bless you. I am able to sleep on my side with the elevation, though. Praying that you get answers.
