My partner and I have been together 20 years of which the last 6 years, have been challenging due to my health issues. He stays engaged even when I no longer had the energy to be. He is supportive, caring and understanding. Just be you. I know you need encouragement and support as well. The caretaker has to take care of themselves also. God Bless you and may God continue to keep you and your family.

Help Her Stay Active in Her Care
Being engaged in her own healthcare leads to better outcomes. You can support this by:
- Attending appointments with her when possible
- Helping her write down questions before each visit
- Taking notes during appointments so nothing gets missed
- Encouraging her to be open and honest with her doctors about how she's feeling day-to-day
Support Her Daily Life
PAH affects energy levels significantly. Practical help around the house β like carrying groceries or handling more physically demanding chores β can make a real difference in conserving her energy.
Watch Her Diet Together
Salt and sodium can worsen her condition, so helping manage meals with a low-sodium focus is a meaningful way to contribute. A dietitian familiar with PAH can help create a plan that works for both of you.
Take Care of Her Mental Health Too
PAH affects more than just the body. Encouraging her to speak with a mental health professional if she's feeling overwhelmed is just as important as managing physical symptoms.
Don't Forget Yourself
Caring for a loved one with a serious condition is demanding. Making sure you also have support keeps you strong for her. π
