I had a great cardiology appointment this week. I lost 7 pounds since the last appointment 6 months ago, the doc said I could discontinue Clopidogrel, and I had my personal best 6-minutes walk, going 10 meters farther than last time. My doc says he wants me to get started on Winrevair (Sotaercept), but I have to have another RHC, Echo, and a cardio exercise test before I am fully eligible. He said Winrevair is the best PAH medication for Group 1 patients that he has seen in his entire cardiology… read more
I’ve started taking winrevair 10 months ago and the results have been amazing. My pressure has come down to the 30s, and my activity level feels like I’m back to my old self. I haven’t experienced any side effects so far. I’ve continued to take Opsimut and Tadalifil. Best wishes
We'll be looking forward to hearing from you as you learn more. Good luck!
My doc wants me to remain on 2.5 mg of Admpas 3 times a day along with Winrevair. And while Opsumit has helped manage the condition, the congestion it causes makes it almost intolerable, so doc wants me to discontinue it. I have already backed off of Opsumit to just 3 times a week, so I am almost done with it.
I am good to combine the Winrevair with the Adempas and discontinue the Opsumit if that combo works best for me. I will know more after the procedures on November 6.
My understanding is that Winrevair offers PAH patients a FOURTH pathway by which to treat the PAH and that it is most effective when combined with at least TWO other pathway medications.
Hi Steven, Winrevair is definitely a game changer! When I was on it I was still on sildenafil, opsumit and uptravi. My Dr took me off of Winrevair because they were worried about a stomach bleed, because I have veins in my stomach and they easily bleed and Winrevair can cause them to bleed. But when I was on winrevair my heary looked good my pressure in lungs went down. I felt good. Since off of it my pressure went way up and echo showed more heart issues again. I wish you well on it! Good luck!
