In addition to PAH, I have allergy induced asthma. My physician has me on a combination of prescription Flonase, montelukast, and levocetirizine. I also do nasal flushes regularly with a saline solution that contains xylitol. Despite all of this, allergies tend to be one of my biggest issues currently. Consequently, it's been challenging to manage my asthma symptoms. I use a daily maintenance inhaler called Breztri, a rescue inhaler as needed and do nebulizer treatments twice a day. My physician is in the process of trying to get me qualified for Dupixent (appeals process).
I have mild asthma, but the pulmonologist ordered since I could no longer take allergy shots....said this was better.
Kay, I thought dupixent was for Asthma? Im on teszpire shot for my Asthma, did try dupixent but it didn't work for me.
I have recently been ordered Dupixent injections, one every 2 weeks . It is too early, I guess, you tell how effective it will be. I am really suffering tonight. I am wondering if it could be from folks cutting down an overgrown field in back of our house and releasing all kinds of things in the air. I am still glad they did it though. I take Claritin, singular and Xyzal, too. I used to take allergy shots, but had to quit when my BP med was changed.
I take allegra and montelucast..generic singulair..prescribed by my pulmonologist. I take breztri too..an inhaler. They think my lung problems have an allergic component (birds)
