Back in April I had swelling and ended up in the hospital for a month. They started me on remodulin. But now I’m panicking because I DON’t want to go to hospital again
Your legs are down and yes this happens more with legs down. Talk to Dr, but also pumping feet or wearing compression stocking may help.
It's recommended that you stretch your legs and walk as best you can without discomfort, it promotes lymphatic flow and should help to reduce swelling. 🙂
Heidi, I would definitely call my PH doctor. The longer you ignore the swelling it will probably just get worse. If you are able to get up and move around/do some walking it will probably help a lot in getting the fluids moving and out of your body. Be sure you are taking your water pills if you are supposed to. It doesn't mean you will have to go back in the hospital.
Yes, you have history of an issue.
Can you break your car rides into sections of 45 mind to 1.5 hours? Get out of the car and take a break, a 15 minute walk and drink some water. You don't want your poor little kidneys to dry up either. You may have to leave earlier and drive later. Please look at your health issues and please try to take better care of yourself. You are young, and you want your body to last a long time! Blessings
to you!!
If you are swelling and not drinking enough water, do your kidneys dry up?
