Exercise

Exercise

What are considered safe exercises to do? I walk and ride bike. I’m looking for more exercises.

I was told to either walk or swim...that other types of exercise would be to much for my heart and lungs. This may be something to ask your Dr since every body is different!

I love water aerobics as well, used to teach it. Bought a rower, but it's a clothes hanger as well. Got an AirDyne bike, and this is a keeper, really keeps me in shape. Also bounce gently on the rebounder sometimes, it helps the lymph flow and you can do it to music, just hang onto something for balance when you first start using it.

I absolutely loved doing water aerobics but the place I had to go to shut down the classes. I joined another club, but the only time they had w.a. was during the noon hour. I couldn't work, drive 50 miles and then 50 miles home to get back to work. So I had to quit. I love doing anything in the water. It was the best thing I ever did as far as exercise goes. Now, I'm thinking of buying a bicycle (3 wheeler) to ride around on. I have a stationary bike, but it became a clothes horse, so I cleared it out.

Daffodil. I am so happy you r able to exercise. I run out of breath too easily. Walking slow is about it. I guess to answer you question, if it feels good and doesn't hurt, do it. Good luck.
