Does anyone have any advice? And I go to the doctor on the 22nd. There's got to be some medication that helps me with my breathing.?

It's been bad all summer. We go early in the morning when it's cooler... maybe start with a shorter walk.

Your normal @A myPHteam Member. There are things that I still won't do because I am afraid of "What if I get sick again"? So eventually I hope that feeling goes away.

Good morning! πŸŒ„ Liberty sounds like a wonderful walking buddy! Since heat can really worsen breathing difficulties with PH, here are some ways to keep moving without overheating:

- Walk early in the morning or in the evening when temperatures are cooler
- Try indoor alternatives like a treadmill, stationary bike, or walking laps inside a mall
- Walk on flat paths β€” inclines can cause dangerous blood pressure changes
- Always monitor how you're feeling and stop if you feel dizzy or lightheaded

A myPHteam member shared, "On the days I'm OK, I try to log as much time as possible on the treadmill." Indoor exercise can be just as effective and much safer in the heat! As for medications that can help with breathing, there are several options your doctor may discuss with you on the 22nd, including:

- Vasodilators β€” help relax and open restricted blood vessels in the lungs
- Phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors β€” increase blood flow through the body
- Endothelin receptor antagonists β€” widen narrowed blood vessels
- Oxygen therapy β€” directly supports easier breathing
- Diuretics β€” reduce fluid buildup that strains the heart and lungs

It's great that you already have an appointment coming up! Bring up your breathing concerns and how heat affects you β€” your doctor can help find the right combination for you. πŸ’ͺ

My weight has been extremely stubborn! I loose inches but the scale stays within a few pounds. Destined for a quite the personality instead of a dazzled. Lol
