It’s been a bit since I have been on here . Have had a lot going with my health. Found out I have a hole in my heart and I am still having a lot of problems with shortness of breath and ankle swelling. They done a right heart cauterization a little over a week ago .and I get an email from my heart dr telling me I have “ significant pulmonary hypertension.” And hes referring on to another pulmonologist. Hi Cindy and welcome! Go into your patient portal and look at your report from your Right Heart Catheterization. Look for 2 numbers: mPAP ( MEAN) and PAWP (Wedge) and let me know what they are and I can then explain to you what they mean.
Sometimes the mPAP is written as the third number in a slash series: Systolic/Diastolic/Mean
