I saw a PA at the pulmonologist office. I inquired as to why I was not on medication to slow down fibrosis. Her answer was that my condition is not that bad yet. Does that make sense? I have ILD; pulmonary fibrosis; pulmonary hypertension; RA; chronic congestive heart failure; and liver disease. I am on 2 liters of oxygen 24/7 and higher when up walking around.

Emily a lot of medications accelerate your problems! I would be very please to be told your not bad enough to warrant medications! Go slow, you will be better off! And believe me, I do not trust the medical profession! God bless!

No, that doesn't sound right to me. Are some of your other meds supposed to be covering your ILD? Can it be slowed down, or do they only treat the symptoms? Depending on that answer, I might switch caregivers. You shouldn't be seeing a PA anyway, probably not even a pulmonologist. You should prob being a PH specialist.

Michael, some of those 16 pills are, indeed, supplements. I take Vitamin B12; D3; folate;a probiotic; and D-Mannos. The rest seem to be for my heart, bp, etc, Once I heard the diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis, I joined groups such as this one and focused in on treatment, etc. I sort of put the associated heart conditions on a back burner, Maybe I need to switch gears.

Angie, I have a pulmonologist, but sometimes I am seen by her PA when I go in for a regular appointment, I live in a rural area and an ILD specialist would be quite some distance for me to drive. I am 77.
