In the beginning of my illness I also has Sleep Apnea so I used a CPad machine. It took time getting use to it but it did help. Today I no longer need the machine.

Yes, oxygen therapy can be beneficial for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)! Here's why it helps:

- Increases oxygen levels throughout your body, which can be lower with PAH
- Acts as a vasodilator, helping to widen the narrowed blood vessels in your lungs
- Reduces symptoms like fatigue and shortness of breath
- Improves quality of life, helping you stay active in daily life One myPHteam member shared a great example of its impact: after investing in a portable oxygen concentrator, they were still able to travel and watch their grandkids play sports — even after years of living with PAH. It's worth knowing that oxygen therapy is available by prescription only. Some people need it only during specific activities like walking or sleeping, while others may need it around the clock (called long-term oxygen therapy).

Always check with your doctor about whether oxygen therapy is right for your specific situation and what level of supplementation you may need.
