Anyone having swollen sinuses with this drug? I just hate it, especially at night sleeping with oxygen nasal cannula on.
I did a copy and paste into Google Translate (which is free to use, by the way) and got this. His original language is Portuguese.
My nose isn't swollen, but it often gets stuffy. I use a nasal spray called "Nasorhinathiol"—which is 0.5 mg oxymetazoline hydrochloride—and it works VERY WELL for me. I haven't used anything else since, and I use it 2 or 3 times a day.
I only speak English, please translate.
I was briefly on Adempas but at the same time I was on Opsumit. I had terribly stuffed sinuses but I think both caused it. Since we are restricted and cannot use any decongestants, I found the only thing that helped me was Arm & Hammer NIGHTTIME Simply Saline Spray with Eucalyptus. I was not able to find it in physical stores so I got it on-line. I did have to use it on average 3 times a night to get through the entire night. Even though it has Eucalyptus, my PH specialist did approve it for use with an O2 concentrator but I am only on 2L. You may want to check with your own doctor if you are on O2 assist as essential oils and O2 do not mix well.
I was taken off both Adempas and Opsumit when I got reclassified from group 1 to Group 2.
Hello AmberRay I also have been on Adempas for 6 years of which 3 I also used a CPAP machine. No issues here. My issues was with the CPAP machine, making my nose so dry I would choke and wake up. Since I stopped the CPAP no issues. Perhaps have them check the humidifier in you CPAP machine to insure you that's not the problem. I would also tell you to speak with your doctor. Good luck and please keep us posted.
