So she recovers and can't feel her left side, so we were walking one day n she said that she feels like she's gonna passed out, and she fell face forward, then we find out that she has pah. Could her hernia surgery be the cause of her pah?

Hernia surgery itself doesn't cause PAH as far as I know.

Meth use is considered a cause for WHO Group 1 Associated PAH. I think that is more likely than the PAH being caused by her surgery.

I hope your girlfriend feels better and stronger soon.

During her surgery, it is very likely that they were giving her intravenous saline. It is possible that the IV saline added to the fluid retention she had and that she hasn't gotten rid of that extra fluid yet. PAH patients can retain fluid in their belly, lungs and heart...it's not always obvious like edema on the ankles or feet. Have her care team assess her for fluid aggravated symptoms and perhaps temporarily adjust her diuretics.

The doctors told her she has it because of her meth use, and she's a regular smoker. And they gave her 10yrs she's going on 8. They said it was advanced pah
