Rheumatologist wants to start on me IV infusions of Rituximab. Anyone on here getting those infusions and, if so, what are your thoughts?

Emily I would very much research and give lots of thought! First give all these medical problems to Jesus and let him tell you what to do! You can read my profile and see what has happened to me! These days I really don't trust doctors and their experiments. It has been 4 years now sense I said no to those drugs and the team of doctors said you will not make it 90 days! I am doing great! God bless you and what ever treatment you chose!

Hi Emily...My understanding is that Rituximab is not generally used to treat any of the PH forms but is more related to Rheumatoid Arthritis and some forms of blood related cancers like Lymphoma. Good luck with the new medication.

Thank you, Michael. I have made the statement several times that I don't worry about the disease killing me as much as the medicine. I take 16 pills every morning and some make my hands shake terribly. Also, my BP is WAY too low in that it is barely over 100. I've started taking it in the morning and if it is low, I don't take my BP med. Sometimes I skip the spirolactone. But, it is all ok. I am Christian so I it is a win-win either way. For now I am enjoying life and getting ready to plant a garden. The best to you, Michael.

The warnings are unbelievable. Infusions can cause death or serious brain infection that can cause disability or death. I don't think PH, COPD or CHF is going to get me -- I think it will be the medication.
