I am not sure. But I too suffer from iron and hemoglobin issues. I was getting iron infusions 3 times a week for almost a year. Now I keep it in check with iron vitamins. Amenia has always been a issue for me.

Good morning JThurn. I am not a Dr or anything but in my opinion I think it could be. Last spring my hematocrit, hemoglobin, iron and Ferritin levels all dropped way down
This past summer I had 3 iron infusions. And my iron is still very low, so every month I have to go for infusions until it gets back up there and stays there. I also dud have a little stomach bleed that could have caused the liw numbers last spring but that is taking care of. But iron is still low. I hope you have a wonderful Day.

In my experience, one of my ph meds has caused me to be one anemic.
