I am just beginning to research it and am a little concerned about the Resveratrol that is a key ingredient and how it might interact with blood thinners, etc. I have sent in a couple of questions to the manufacturer to learn the exact amount of Resveratrol in each capsule. And I plan on asking both my cardiologist and my PH Specialist for their opinions.

Members discussed Vinia, a red grape supplement containing resveratrol that claims to improve blood flow and oxygenation, with most expressing curiosity but cautious interest in checking with their medical teams before trying it. Several members shared related experiences including taking SuperBeets, drinking red wine for heart health (though many noted they had to limit or stop alcohol due to heart issues or medication interactions), and one member's participation in a clinical trial for Ralinepag where she recently transitioned from placebo to the actual drug. The original poster ultimately decided not to take Vinia after her PH specialist advised against it due to insufficient research and questionable benefit for her condition.

I just got this response from the manufacturer:

"Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate your interest in VINIA.

VINIA® comes in a 400 mg capsule. Each capsule contains 6 mg of rapid absorption Piceid Resveratrol from red grapes and 23mg of polyphenols."

So I believe that low an amount of Resveratrol would be well below any amount that would conflict with blood thinners. But I will still get the opinion from my care team before taking any supplements.

I do take flu shots and am getting mine in a couple of weeks. I wanted to wait and see how this year’s strain was getting received. I’ve had the pneumonia shots in the past and don’t need any new ones. I’m not going to take any more Covid shots.

Glad your appointment is set so you can get more accurate answers.

Let me know if you start taking the Vinia.

Jane: I am so anxious to hear when you know you are on the Ralinepag. I'm also anxious to hear what the clinical results of the trial were/are.

I drink more wine than that, depends on what's going on with us. I rarely order hard liquor drinks. I have one cup of coffee early morning but any more than that and I get jittery, hate that. My sodium level is always low so no restrictions luckily but I rarely add salt. No edema so far. I weigh 135 and am 5'4 1/2" so I pretty much don't care about calories. However, I rarely eat supper. My brother is diabetic but my last A1c was 4.0.
By the way Heather, I'm still in the drug trial for Ralinepag and it's pretty obvious that I'm on the placebo per the NP. However, I will be given the actual drug on November 3rd and I'll post more about that later.

Hi Heather. I drink red wine daily. It's my one bad habit. 🍷 My doctors all know about it and none of them give me a hard time. 🫂
