Well Karin2, I fine all ERs are going to do what ever they can to get you back out the door. Non of the personnel listen to you and go with only what they learned in school on a computer. Having experienced 7 different ERs I fine them all the same. You have a great plan and that would have been great years ago when our medical industry cared for their patience. You can only depend on Jesus Christ and the people on this myPHteam. You want get any lies or half truths are excuses to spend more money! God bless you! I do bring a list of medic. with me and sometimes they actually look at it, but most don't know what the meds. do.
The 2 hospitals closest to me do not have any special focus on PH. I was warned very clearly by both my cardiologist and my PH specialist that I needed to have something printed out that would be impossible to miss. The biggest issues are anesthesia and limiting intravenous saline due to PH Fluid sensitivity.
In addition to my folders, I keep a laminated card with bullet points on machine of the card. There is one in my car, one in my wallet by my DNR card, and Vinny has a smaller version in his chest pocket. This is in addition to my paper listing my meds since they frequently get modified.
Vinny bought a cheap laminator off Amazon so we could make these.
I refer to them as my triage cards. Both my cardiologist and my PH specialist approved the content.
I have a folder that I take with me everytime I go to the doctor or hospital. I also keep logs of all my vitals at least twice a day. I log everything.
Wow. This information is very informative. I journal my medical history daily as well as my Oxygen levels twice daily, Blood Pressure and weight daily. Yes, have someone who can go to appointments with you if possible. It's alot but so helpful. I have been in that situation where I couldn't speak due to fainting. God Bless you 🙏.
