My first sign of PH was noted during a lung surgery I had to remove a nodule. It just said I had evidence of PH, that was 2019, then last summer my rt/left heart catherization diagnosed me with mild PH, most of my symptoms were due to my interstitial lung disease, SOB especially during exercise or going up stairs, and I was already being treated for the ILD and pulmonary fibrosis so I am not on meds for PH at this time.
I think I am very symptomatic but I am considered mild. I have severe SOB, can’t walk more than a block or two, can’t stand for more than a few minutes, have blood ox numbers that whipsaw all day long within a 10 point spread, get edema and weight gain (controlled by 40mg of Lasix twice a day?, insomnia, etc.
People with mild (Class 1) pulmonary hypertension often don't experience noticeable symptoms during rest or exercise. This can make it challenging to detect the condition in its early stages.

I have PAH. At this point it is considered back in the mild range. In spite of that I can become very SOB at times. Of course, I also have asthma and dysautonomia that can impact my breathing.
