I have placed several small stools in my house, and I use them, wherever necessary. Don't experience that problem now.

Yes, difficulty breathing while bending over is a common symptom experienced by many with pulmonary hypertension. A myPHteam member specifically shared their experience with getting "short of breath when bending over to pick something up." To help manage this symptom, you can try pulse breathing - a technique shared by a myPHteam member where you sit down, focus on breathing in and out until your oxygen levels improve to at least 90%, before continuing your activity.

Additionally, pulmonary rehabilitation can teach you specific breathing techniques and exercises to help manage shortness of breath during daily activities. Working with licensed therapists, you can learn how to safely move your body while conserving energy to avoid fatigue and breathlessness. When possible, try to modify activities to reduce bending. Ask for help when needed with tasks that require bending over. Remember to pace yourself and take breaks as needed. If symptoms persist or worsen, be sure to discuss this with your healthcare provider as they may need to adjust your treatment plan.
