Kay, I've had a couple of them. They have you breathe in stuff and take pic/exrays of your chest. No pain

Hi Kay...The lung perfusion tests are part of the standard diagnostics for new patients to help determine the cause of the PH. This test will help rule out clots in the lung. It is truly no big deal and while AI says it would take 30 minutes or more, I remember mine as being closer to 20 minutes.

There is a whole long laundry list of diagnostic tests for accurate diagnostics for new PH patients.

Me, too. I had a V/Q right after I had my first Right Heart Catherization. Mine showed evidence of small blood clots.
I've also heard some other Docs say the V/Q isn't always a dependable test. So, ???
