Members overwhelmingly related to experiencing sudden, extreme sleepiness while watching TV, with many attributing it to a combination of pulmonary arterial hypertension, medications, fatigue from working harder to breathe, and in some cases low oxygen levels or sleep apnea. Several members shared practical strategies including taking short naps throughout the day to manage fatigue, using a CPAP machine with or without supplemental oxygen at night, monitoring oxygen saturation levels especially in the evening, and discussing medication side effects or the need for sleep studies with their doctors. A recurring theme was the profound relief and validation members felt in realizing they were not alone or imagining their symptoms, with many describing the community as a family that helps them feel understood and sane.

I am not on PH meds, but if I sit down I can go to sleep very easily especially after a hard day before. The little short naps gets me through the fatigue. My pulmonary rehab nurse said those little naps are helpful as pulmonary patients are having to work harder each day. Short workouts, or short bouts of doing some housework leaves me wanting a nap. It may be your meds too. β€οΈπŸ™

Yes indeed, a combination of medics, PH, and my case age. I just let it happen and it only takes a minute and I am up and going strong again. I do not nap and never have. Even as a infant, I was told.

I'm guessing you do all the sleep hygiene stuff, no bright lights, no tea/ coffee/ caffeine for a few hours before bedtime?
