My PAH team has just added Uptravi to my protocol which consists of Sildenafil and Ambrisentan. So far so good and I have not as yet experienced any side effects. I have not been on it long enough to know if there are any positive "rewards" yet! I am still titrating so have not reached the maximum dose. Hoping for good things by adding this third pathway.
Good luck. I am struggling with headache, swelling, and feeling ill whether I eat or not.
Hi, pamela.Yes, I am also on Uptravi. The side effects are pretty rough. But you really need to try and hang in there through them. Since I've titraded up to the sixteen hundred micrograms, it has made a tremendous difference in everything. My last visit to have all of my test run showed a tremendous difference, and that was due to being able to titrate up. For myself, these side effects have never went completely away, and it's been about a year, and a half. But they have gotten much better and I've learned to be able to try and manage them and it is definitely worth it. It has made such a difference with my PAH. I can do so much more now and have such a better quality of life on the good days. And of course, we all have bad days with this horrible disease, but you have a fighting chance with taking Uptravi. I also take Opsynvi, now which is Opsumit, and to Tadalafil in one pill. Once a day. Good luck with your battle. We all are rooting for each other.
Hi Pamela, yes I am on uptravi and in the beginning side effects were horrible!! But I have been on it over a year and I have no side effects. When I first started it I found if I stayed on a dose for about 4 weeks at a time it really helped tremendously. Are you on uptravi? ❤️
I just titrated to the 1600, twice a day. I have a lot of edema and some recurring diarrhea. I hope it gets better soon.
