I do! I have Sjogren's Disease. Consequently, I have developed neuropathy in my legs and feet. I was also diagnosed with a condition known as vasculature insufficiency in my legs. This is a familial issue on both sides of the family. I saw a vein doctor earlier this year and had several vein ablations done. They've helped tremendously with my RLS symptoms. Because I still do a lot of kicking at night, I have continued to take prescription Requip before bedtime. I also take Lyrica to manage the neuropathy. When my RLS flares up and I simply can't get comfortable I take two 400 mg tablets of magnesium glycinate.

Ropinirole is the generic of Requip. I certainly can empathize with your husband.
