Traveling, especially by air, can pose risks for people with pulmonary hypertension (PH) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) due to changes in air pressure and oxygen levels at high altitudes. It's crucial to consult with your doctor before making travel plans to ensure you're not putting yourself at increased risk of complications like heart failure. Your doctor can provide personalized advice and health precautions to follow during your trip.

LouiseintenzoCovotta;
Many of us with PH do fly but others do not. It is always best to check with your specialist for guidance. We are all unique in our diseases. There are so many variables. Some are on Supplemental oxygen which requires consulting with the airline. Some have low 02sats which can pose problems. So many things to consider.
Personally I have no problem flying and have permission from my PAH team to do so. Best to consult with your PH Specialist.
