When I had back surgery in February I made sure my surgeon and hospital knew that I had pah. I also asked to speak to the anesthesiologist. He knew about the meds I can have

Everyone's case is different when it comes to anesthesia with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Your best answer will come from your PAH Team or Specialist in consultation with the anesthesiologist. I recent had foot surgery and general anesthesia was contraindicated. I did have mild IV sedation and a block ankle anesthesia. It went well and I did not feel a thing. No recovery time either.

Thank you! I do plan to talk to my PH specialist to see what he thinks. I was just looking to see if anyone had experienced knee replacement.
