I am trying to figure out if my paleness is from PH or something else. Does anyone else get paleness as a symptom? I go pale a lot (noticeable that people who do not know me ask if I am ok). My lips go white, face, hands and feet go white as well. Sometimes I am lightheaded and sometimes I get near fainting (for example everything will go black) often I also have chest pain (but not always). I think I do not have enough blood flow, but my ejection fraction on last echo was normal (55%). Anyone… read more

Members shared experiences of feeling lightheaded or faint, with some attributing it to insufficient oxygen reaching the brain, low blood pressure, or medication side effects, though one member noted their symptoms persisted even before starting medication. Several members emphasized the importance of consulting with a PH doctor to investigate the root cause, especially when symptoms like paleness, chest pain, and fainting occur alongside conditions like coronary artery disease or unexplained cardiac changes. A recurring theme was the value of persistence in seeking answers through testing and medical follow-up, balanced with a hopeful, grateful outlook on each day despite the uncertainty and challenges of living with serious health conditions.

Yes, people with pulmonary hypertension (PH) can experience symptoms such as going pale, feeling light-headed, and fainting or near fainting. These symptoms occur because the heart struggles to get enough oxygenated blood to the brain due to limited heart function caused by PH. This can be particularly noticeable during physical activity or even while at rest. If you experience severe dizziness or fainting, it is important to be evaluated by a doctor, as these can be signs of advanced PH and can be life-threatening in certain situations.

Good luck……I hope the doctors will have answers to your concerns soon 🤞🏻 The main artery to my heart is 100% blocked with stenosis. Been told by several referring doctors from teaching hospitals there is nothing they can do. It is what it is……I’m just grateful for the 70 years the Lord has given me & each new day. I know with my health issues each day is a gift & your never sad to get a gift 😃😃😃😃.
