I feel like my voice is quieter and it sounds like I have a frog in my throat and I have the constant need to clear my throat to try to be able to talk louder and clearer, but it does no good. This has gone on for months and I haven’t been sick. I’ve tried taking drinks, lemon and honey, etc but nothing helps, so I figured why not ask?

OH, MY! Don't quit singing! As for the most unobtrusive way to give your lungs a work out, by far SINGING has got to be the best method! It helps increase flexibility. and capacity for your lungs, plus even if you are a bad singer, it will cheer you up. If I quit singing altogether, I would be so sad first of all, but I know without it My Lung Functions would be in decline almost immediately. There is hardly a day that I do not sing. The only other thing I have been given that is helpful has been that Voldyne Spirometer, which is good in it's own way. It also helps to measure how well your lung functions are doing, so besides providing exercise it is a diagnostic tool. I am so jazzed about it that I really think EVERYONE who is having PH/PHA should own one , or two in case you break the first one. I always keep a spare on hand. I was without one for almost a year, and it was awful, and I was pretty frantic! My son in law got one for me over the internet, and not just that but I have three. When one breaks, I have one, and he orders another. So far tho', I have only managed to break one from use. Others get broken from 'accidents'. Puppies and breakage happens to 'do in' the others that I have lost. They cost under $10 from the internet, and often $5 of you shop around, so they are affordable to own. For such a simple small thing it has been the one most useful non-electric thing I have in my medical array. Your best advocate for your health is YOU, and by extension everything YOU DO. So don't stop, quit, or give up. You are the ONLY YOU you have!
At times, when I feel a bit more breathless, I have trouble getting the words out and tend to speak softer towards the end of a sentence. I have a chronic, dry cough as well. My voice is often deeper or raspy. I attribute this to dry mouth/throat.
I'm the same as the others that have commentted. I try to have lozenges on me where ever I am as my voice becomes raspy and hoarse. I also need to clear my throat often.
I also have that problem..can hardly talk for long lengths..its hard to sing and whistle anymore due to PAH. I have tried Benadryl does help a little.
Sometimes throat spray.
I’ve been having all the symptoms everyone’s talking about and when I went to the ENT she said that one of my vocal cords is paralyzed. She forwarded the results of my nasal scope to the surgeon to see if anything can be done and in the meantime, I’m going to the speech therapist to get therapy to try and train my voice to speak so that I don’t sound like Minnie Mouse. I used to be a teacher and read and sing with children and I’m doing everything I can to be able to do that again!
