@A myPHteam Member do you know your pulmonary hypertension group? What type of PH do you have. PAH is Group 1. Altogether there are 5 groups. Treatment is quite different depending on what type of PH you have. PAH has specific medications used for treatment whereas the other PH groups primarily address the underlying conditions and symptom management. If you click on the Resources tab you can find lots of good information there. There is also a lot of information on the PH Association website. If you are looking for good information specifically about PAH, go to the PAH Initiative website at www.pahinitiative.com Hope this helps.
I was just diagnosed with PH and trying to figure it out so confused😢
I was diagnosed in 2020. My annual echo had changed quite a bit. My pulmonologist insisted on a right and left heart catheterization. I was diagnosed with aPAH (associated with Sjogren's).
I have both PAH and asthma. I take Tadalafil and Ambrisentan. The next PAH medication I will add is Tyvaso DPI. I was using a daily Spiriva Respimat inhaler and an Albuterol rescue inhaler. Recently, I started experiencing more SOB and a productive cough. The pulmonologist switched me to a new daily inhaler, Trelegy. It seems to have made quite a difference. I also use a device recommended by the pulmonologist called Air Physio. It helps to break up the congestion in my upper airway. It can be ordered on Amazon. It's a bit pricey, but it really works.
I complained to my primary of SOb on exertion and ordered tests and went to a lung dr. I am takine tyvasco
