For those with anxiety symptoms- how do you distinguish between anxiety and genuine cardiac symptoms? My anxiety symptoms can include shortness of breath, palpitations, and increased BP and heart rate.
How do avoid (another) ER visit for anxiety?
Hi. I've had bouts with depression and anxiety since age 12. I was diagnosed with chronic depression, anxiety, bipolar and PTSD. I would have the shakes, sweat, and trouble breathing. Those times I knew they were anxiety attacks. When I had heart palpitations and dizziness along with the anxiety symptoms plus I felt like I was walking in quick sand I knew it was my heart. It was working so hard that it was wearing out and that's when the pace maker was put in. Since the pace maker was put in I feel nothing where my heart is concerned. I go every 6 weeks to get it checked. That's how the doctors know I'm in afib all the time. When I have the anxiety symptoms mentioned above I know it's definitely anxiety. Taking care of my husband 24/7 I don't have much time too myself. I fixed me a small patio made with paving stones under a pine tree. I can escape to the yard when my anxiety gets to be too much. I can sit under the pine in any weather. I love a good.thunder and lightning storm with wind and rain. I do deep breathing exercises listen to the sounds around me with my eyes closed and talk to God. These things help so much. I've just joined the group and you are all in my prayers.
I've had depression and anxiety for over 20 years, just diagnosed with IPAH August of 2019. For me anxiety is not painful physically, but emotionally. Pain from my heart and lungs is totally different. I definitely know when it's my heart and not anxiety. Hopefully you get answers you're looking for. Prayers to you. ๐๐ฆ๐ซ๐ซ๐
