Everything has to say low sodium plus jello and puddings fruit tea and freeze pops works for me good luck
You can try mrs dash instead of salt it's so much better than the salt substitute.
Lillian Farmer, I use to be a salt addict as well. The only thing I did was quit adding additional salt to everything. That doesn't mean that I don't add salt occasionally. What made me stop adding salt was when it started shooting my blood pressure thru the roof, meaning 218/150. The ER docs kept telling me that I was going to have a massive heart attack one of these good old days. That's enough to change your habits. I am assuming that since you are on this site that you have some sort of internet connection. If you do a google search with the words "low sodium diet" (cardiac diets), it will bring up a ton of different ideas for you to chose from that would work. One reason that you might be eating a lot of salt is that your body might be low on iodine. Salt is one of the few major sources of iodine. The next time your doctor does blood work on you have him/her run a iodine level on you. They do have Iodine pills that you can take that would cut down on the salt intake too.
Another reason I eat a lot of salt is because it stops muscle spasms. In those instincts, I put a teaspoon of salt in my hand and down it.
