Hate to say that I deal with both by taking medication. The summer and spring months aren't that bad but when it gets dark all the time in the winter and I cannot go out that much, I get depressed. So, for that I am prescribed a low dose of Zoloft. I guess it works (who knows)!! For anxiety at night when I feel like I cannot breathe and I am wearing my bi-pap and things are closing in on me, I take a Xanax. I know people say I should not take that much medicine but why did they make the drugs if they don't want people to use them. I don't abuse them and I feel much better after I take them. Hang in there. If you cannot take medication, try deep breathing, coloring, listening to music. that would help me sometimes. PH members hang in there!!! We will survive

True anxiety is not something you can wish away and you don't just get over it. I can't take any anti depression drugs. (SSRI/SNRI). I use vistaril off label in addition to the xanax. This keeps me from putting a bulletin my brain. It does not make me "perky" or happy. I also deal with sleep paralysis.

I hope you can find solitude and know you will be alright. We all feel anxious and life can hand us misery at times. Think positive thoughts, sorry you feel abandoned . Praying for you. Take care,
