Scott I'm so glad you stood up for yourself against this doctor, the one thing we all have to remember is that doctor's at not God, they have no way of knowing when we will be called home, they only give their opinion and most times it's not correct. if they would do their job and just help make us comfortable or get over the hump of what is going on at that moment we would all receive much better care. It amazes me how many doctors don't know anything about this disease, just like Alpha-1.
Don't ever give up, keep fighting the fight, walk as much as you can daily, moving is very important for us. Drink lots of water and watch your fluid retentation as that is a bad thing.
Hope you all have a wonderful day, keep smiling and stay postivie.

i have Ph. copd and heart failure along with lupus. the lupus is pretty juch under control but can't say the same for the other 3. I can not tell which is causing the flare ups as they have the same symptoms. Dr. has agreed that the Ph is much worst then the test shows, for Ph I take Norvasc 5mg unless the Bp is 130 (top number ) or over then I take take 10mg, Toprol XL 50mg. i also take Torsemide for fluid build up, Aldactone which is also for fluid, I have 3 inhalers for Copd plus Daliresp 500mg tabs. I'm on Xarelto so I don't get anotther PE. should bge on oxygen but thanks to Medicare I'm not. I do what I can do, all depends on how I'm feeling in the morning or what kind of night I have had, I have found that when I can get out for a daily walk I do much better, but that's hard to do in the winter. Drinks lot of water and just keep moving so how. I feel for everyone who has this, mya God bless you all

To finish what I started hoping my phone participates. Surgeon found 14 polyps said none had cancer. I have known about the oh since 2015. I'm steadily getting weaker and worse is how I gasp for air just remove it for changing clothes ECT .my back problems is why I was disabled in 2003. I didn't go to court or even meet my lawyer my med. Records alone showed how I'm disabled. I was the person that walked on my breaks at work with friends . stayed small my entire life. Weighed 118 , 9 months pregnant. I was very active. Always worked overtime , busy busy busy now I weigh about 230 can't do anything. Dr. Don't even bother me about working out because lungs and heart both are bad. So I look around and am tormented at what needs to be done. If only I could. Its hard to go from a very neat clean person, to the person I am today. Very depressing. Don't have many around me that really gets it. Which my brings me frustration also .I didn't mean to write so much there is just so much to say. Thanks for any input I get.

I am on oxygen 24/7 I just recently stopped working I have portable carry on one that is good and at my job I was allowed to have a oxygen machine there with a twenty five or fifty foot life line on it
The picture I’m send is taken while I’m out at Starbucks sitting inside enjoying life. I take meds for depression which helped 100% but I still only take it when I need it. At first it seems harder but if you given in you will go down faster, trust me I know I’ve been there and done that
