In July, my wife and I are traveling to Alaska to visit our daughter and grandkids. I'm scheduled for a dose of Winrevair while I'm there. I talked to the pharmacist about altering the scheduled dose by a day or two or three, but she said I should just schedule delivery for the address in Alaska. That sounds like a pain. So does packing the Winrevair on ice. Pharmacist said I really need to stay on schedule.

My Winrevair is always on ice. I see no reason not to change the address, but order 1 day earlier just to be safe.

Online, you can find travel bags for medication on ice designed to keep temperature-sensitive medications, like insulin and Winrevair. Your doctor can guide you on finding the right one.

What a wonderful trip to look forward to — Alaska with family sounds amazing! Your pharmacist is giving solid advice. Staying on schedule with Winrevair is really important, and having it delivered to your daughter's address in Alaska is actually a pretty common solution for travelers managing PAH treatments.

Here are some things worth considering as you plan: - Coordinate early — Contact your specialty pharmacy well in advance to arrange delivery to the Alaska address. Give them your daughter's full address and confirm delivery timing.
- Have a backup plan — Ask your pharmacist what to do if the delivery is delayed or lost.
- Carry documentation — Bring copies of your prescription and treatment orders in your carry-on, just in case.
- Loop in your doctor — Let them know your travel plans so they can help with any logistics or emergencies from afar.

Many myPHteam members have successfully navigated travel while staying on treatment schedules. A little extra planning upfront can make the whole trip much smoother — and totally worth it for those grandkids!
