Are you aware that Winrevair is one step closer to being available for group 2?

The press release specifically indicated people who are combined pre and post capillary disease (like ME!) within Group 2. My PH specialist sent me a shout out via portal cause he knew how I've been waiting and waiting for this. We are going to try to get me into this Phase III part of the trial. I am so hopeful and excited.

I am practically giddy I am so excited. I hope i'll qualify for the Phase III trial. I had been turned down for the Phase II part of it. They thought I wasn't sick enough at that point. I hope the criteria is a bit different for phase III.

Winrevair is currently FDA-approved for pulmonary arterial hypertension (WHO Group 1). The development for Group 2, particularly for people with combined pre- and postcapillary disease like yourself, represents a promising expansion since most PH treatments were originally developed for precapillary PH.

Combined pre- and postcapillary PH occurs when someone meets the criteria for postcapillary PH (linked to left heart disease), but also has elevated pulmonary vascular resistance greater than 2 Wood units. I don’t know. This was presented:

This drug is very promising and is the next generation activin inhibitor. Activin inhibitors work
by targeting the proteins that are known to cause PH. Sotatercept/Winrevair is a less refined version of this drug. Lysine proteins in this drug will have less side effects than are currently a
concern with Sotatercept and dosing can be done less often.

When I look it up it says for overweight healthy people. I’ll ask him tomorrow night in case I got the number wrong.
