Excellent and thank you for sharing! ๐Ÿ‘This upcoming Friday I'm meeting my new (to me) Advanced Cardiology and I'm having an Echo immediately prior to my appointment. But I don't know any details about it. My previous Doc is now at Duke. ๐Ÿ˜‰ My PAH seems to be managed well at this time. I was diagnosed Nov '23 after years of chasing symptoms that no other Docs pursued. ๐Ÿ˜‘

Maybe it's due to the use of the contrast media. I don't know. My standard echos that were done in the cardiologist's office used to take about 20 to 25 minutes. The 2 PH protocol studies I had done in the hospital each took 75 minutes. And the systolic pressure reading is closer to accurate.

Apparently the hospital I go to teamed up with the local Mayo clinic and uses their protocols,

There is a PH Protocol version of an echocardiogram that includes your getting a low level of contrast. That version is more helpful than the standard version. It's given in a PH savvy hospital setting and only certain echo technicians are trained to do them. I just had my second one done this past Friday.
