I'm a longtime RLS sufferer. I take a prescription medication called Ropinirole (Requip). I also take Cymbalta and Lyrica for chronic pain issues that does also relieve RLS symptoms.

Last year at the suggestion of my rheumatologist, I saw a vein specialist. I learned that I have a condition called chronic vascular insufficiency. This condition runs in families and varicose veins often are a telltale sign. I've since had a series of vein ablations. They have helped considerably.

I just started taking it in 200 mg doses. It definitely has eliminated my leg cramps and RLS and has helped a bit with the insomnia

Karena,
I have signs of RLS but not being treated. I also have nighttime foot neuropathy. I take cymbalta and if it gets really bad I use voltaren for the bottom and sides of feet.
