My daughter failed her exercise stress test miserably and is awaiting a right heart cath on January 30'. She essentially is asymptomatic normal echo but very high heart with her 6 mwt. She has the BMPR2 gene linked to PAH . ( myself and youngest as well ) does anyone know anything about exercise induced pulmonary hypertension or been diagnosed with it ? From what I am finding is that this is now another subset of PAH. Anyway just curious 🧐

It is considered a subset of PH, where symptoms and abnormal blood pressure occur only during exercise. Diagnosis often involves advanced tests like exercise echocardiograms or invasive cardiopulmonary exercise tests (ACPET). A study on ambrisentan showed potential improvement in exercise-induced PH. Your daughter's BMPR2 gene mutation is significant, as it is linked to familial PAH.
