I’m on buspirone for mild anxiety with dialing with my sister. I haven’t had any side affects. Been on then about 2years.
Well I didn't proofread that post very well. The end should have said approx. 4-6 yrs. ago I went on Welbutrin and remain on a low dose of it currently. Should have clarified better that I took Cymbalta for a year approx. My sister also at the same time took Cymbalta. I want to point out that one med that works for Suzy Who may not work for Mindy Lou and vice versa.
Mindy,
As just a person of no medical schooling I can't recommend a med. but I will share my experience with anti-depressants. This history goes way back before COPD and PAH. I first went on Prozac for a couple of weeks got off of it because it did no good. Started Zoloft and remained on it for several years. At some point I went off of it and was stable, then I would arrive at a place where I needed meds again. There were off and on times with Zoloft. Then I tried Cymbalta for a while because a counselor that I saw 1 time had my Dr. put me on it because it was the newest one out and touted as a great stride toward controlling depression. Meanwhile off and on I would do bouts of Wellbutrin which is a very mild anti-depressant. They discovered it was very successful as an aid to help people stop smoking. It was effective for me in that area. To bad I always started again. Then Welbutrin was also discovered to assist with weight loss. Sure enough I also lost weight on it about I don't know 4-6 yrs ago something like that. I stayed on Cymabalta for about a yr. It was effective. My sister was on it at the same time.
