A myPHteam Member asked a question 💭

I’m trying to figure out if this is anxiety. A yes or no answer would be very much appreciated 🫶

Members shared varied experiences with irregular heartbeats and internal rattling sensations, with many confirming they have felt similar symptoms that were sometimes related to pulmonary hypertension, COVID-19, atrial fibrillation, or other heart conditions. Several members described how their palpitations resolved on their own over weeks to months, while others found relief through cardiac medications or pacemaker placement, with one member recommending tracking episode frequency and duration to provide doctors with reliable information. A recurring theme was the strong encouragement to see a cardiologist for proper diagnosis and early treatment, as these symptoms can stem from various cardiac issues that benefit from professional evaluation rather than being dismissed as only anxiety.

Palpitations and irregular heart rhythms can be related to PH, they can also be caused by Covid, I've experienced that myself, but it did settle back to normal after a couple of months. They were almost constant daily during the worst period.

I have chronic congestive heart failure and 2 open heart valve transplants and a pacer pacemaker installed to help my heart beat 40% of the time. I can feel when my heart beats irregular and hard. I sometimes can hear my heart beating in my ears..shoulds crazy but I do hear.it mostly in the am. Please talk to your doctor or cardiologist.so you can catch it early..good luck!!
