Hi AnnR. I cannot answer for you but I can share with you about my heart. With my heart echo and cath from April, I could hardly tell I had a left heart and my right heart was so enlarged it looked like it could pop like a balloon at any minute. With my last echo from a month ago I can see a much more normal size right heart and I definitely have a visible left heart. My heart is still enlarged but functioning so much better now that I have been on meds. I would suggest continuing to follow your plan of care and discussing all your personal concerns with them. There are a lot of great resources right here on this site! Sending prayers you wayπŸ™πŸ»

Waiting is the worst... seems like turning a large ship in the ocean. Everything takes so long.

The PH team answered it best. Lots of people have an enlarged heart, and some it doesn't even bother them. Some use an older medication such as Digoxin, which can help to add strength to the contractions of the heart. These very personal questions are best explained by your own doctor or nurse. Many times, this is a finding on a chest xray. If the patient doesn't complain of shortness of breath on exertion, the doctor may dismiss it. Please discuss these personal things with your doctor. Blessings to you!!

I was told I need a test to see if I need oxygen at night. She said it would help the PAH. I realize it's a down hill thing and I just pray and do my best at living. Have a blessed week.

Jean465, thank you. That is an encouraging answer. I will most likely start a 3rd medication after my appointment on the 26th. I was diagnosed with this PAH in January 2022 and still only on 2 meds. As of now no oxygen or inhalers. Thankfully. Have a good rest of the week. Blessings.
