Members shared several alternatives to Ropinirole for managing restless leg syndrome, with multiple members finding success using Pramipexole (including one member who has been symptom-free since starting it), while others recommended low-dose Klonopin or magnesium glycinate (600 mg nightly) to help relax the legs and improve sleep. Several members highlighted the importance of checking iron and potassium levels, as deficiencies in both nutrients have been linked to restless leg syndrome. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding the right treatment, with encouragement to explore both medication options and nutritional support to find what works best for each individual.

I have had RLS since I was 10. I’m now 72. Just recently I was hospitalized and the doctor prescribed “Pramipexole .5 mg twice daily. I have not had a single RLS night since.

I suffered from it a while back and they prescribed Pramopexlol, it worked well and after a while, I found I no longer needed it.
