Members shared practical solutions for managing dry mouth while using CPAP machines at high pressure, with many experiencing similar challenges as mouth breathers. Several members recommended adjusting humidifier settings (turning it down or setting it to half of oxygen intake), using chin straps to keep the mouth closed during sleep, trying nasal pillows instead of full face masks to reduce air leaks, and using dry mouth products like Biotene rinse, TheraBreath lozenges, or Prevident toothpaste before bed. A recurring theme was the value of experimenting with different combinations of tools and techniques, from sleeping positions to cough drops to mouth tape, until finding what works best for each individual's needs.

I have same issue. I turned my humifier down. I read that it should be set to half of oxygen intake. It's helped but still have issue but less. Not sure you have oxygen. Lol. Dentist says brush teeth before bed to stop bacteria and dry mouth. Who knows about that other than I should brush teeth before bed.

Hi everyone, I use a cpap machine as well and at times I wake up with a dry mouth due to my mouth being open. I have a face mask as the nasal mask pushed too much air into my stomach instead of where it was supposed to go.

So, I started using a chin strap and mouth tape to help to keep my mouth closed. It has done wonders for my dry mouth issues. While it looks silly, at least my mouth is closed and the air is going where it needs to go. I also dropped the humidifier down a bit as well, and that has helped a lot as well. Just a thought.

I use dry mouth tablets. It helps but doesn't last all night.
