I am scheduled for this surgery in a month at the University of California San Diego where the surgery was invented. They are down to only 1% mortality rate during surgery, but one is in ICU for 3 days and then regular hospital for 10 day. Can't drive a car for a month. Frankly, it scares the living hell out of me.
