I was referred back to a local PH clinic at the hospital from my PCP due to my PH going from mild to moderate. I just got a call back from the clinic stating that I was released from the clinic last October because it was noted I did not have IPAH and that is why they sent me to a cardiologist for the heart issues which were also discovered at the time, they then told me the clinic only treats IPAH. If my PH is worse, my… read more
Thanks @A myPHteam Member I have an appointment with her tomorrow and so we will work on a plan. My stats are doing well right now since the last echo which is good, so the meds are helping. Just want to make sure I stay stable and positive. :)
I would go back to my primary and see what they say, maybe get a second opinion, however the cardiologist should be able to gather more information and should be helpful in what the next course of action should be for you. Praying you get the answers and help you need.
Thanks Patty, I am not on meds for the COPD just my asthma. I have an adjustable bed, so it's always on recline, and I am getting a new recliner soon as I tend to fall asleep in my chair in the living room at times as well. :) Thanks for the info.
Seems like every corner you turn, ppl are not treating you right. All I can say is start calling pulmonologist and ask if they treat ph. Either that or let your heart Dr treat it. Are you on oxygen? Usually the pulmonologist Dr. Gives you. A 6 minute walk to see if you qualify for oxygen
Good luck sweetie
My heart hurts for all the trouble you have gone thru with Dr's.
Patty, I though that was an all around PH clinic. The nearest clinic is over 2 hours away by bus since I no longer drive. My insurance won't pay for that. I have to hope I can find a pulmonologist who knows all about PH. Otherwise, trust my cardiologist to take care of it. I feel let down. I believe all PH clinics should be treating all PH patients not just IPAH patients.
